Frequently Asked Questions

How many digits of pi does this tool include?
The first 1,000,000 decimal places of pi, loaded as a single static text file.
Is my birthday really inside pi?
Most 6-digit dates (MMDDYY or MMDD) appear within the first million digits. Full 8-digit dates often do not — pi is long, but a million digits only covers a fraction of all 8-digit combinations.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free with no account and no limits.
Is my data safe?
Everything runs locally in your browser. Searches, recitation progress and best scores never leave your device, except a score you explicitly submit to the leaderboard.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The digit grid reflows to 20 digits per line on narrow screens and the recite/guess games use a large touch-friendly keypad.
Can I use it offline?
After the first visit the tool and the pi data are cached, so it keeps working without a connection.
