Frequently Asked Questions

What content types are supported?
URL (website link), Email address, Phone number, SMS message, WiFi network (with SSID, password, encryption type), vCard (contact), geographic location, and plain text.
What is error correction?
QR codes have four error correction levels: L (7%), M (15%), Q (25%), H (30%). Higher levels allow the QR to be scanned even if part is damaged or obscured, but require more data capacity.
Can I change QR colors?
Yes. You can set custom foreground and background colors. Note that some QR scanners may have trouble reading non-black/white codes.
How do I decode a QR code from an image?
Upload an image, drag and drop, or paste from clipboard. The tool uses jsqr to decode the QR content and display the extracted text.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. QR generation uses the qrcode library locally, and decoding uses jsqr. Neither sends data anywhere.
