What's the difference between 'by groups' and 'by people'?

'By groups' means you set how many groups (e.g., 4 groups). 'By people' means you set how many per group (e.g., 5 people per group).

What is Fisher-Yates shuffle?

The Fisher-Yates algorithm produces an unbiased permutation — every ordering is equally likely. It's the gold standard for fair random shuffling.

How does the fly-in animation work?

Names appear as cards that fly from the input area to their assigned group containers, making the random process visually engaging.

Is my name list sent to a server?

No. All shuffling and grouping is done locally in the browser. Your name list never leaves your device.
