What's the difference between capture modes?

Screen captures your entire display. Window captures just one application. Tab captures only the current browser tab (tab audio supported in Chrome).

Can I record with microphone audio?

Yes. getDisplayMedia supports audio capture in some browsers, or you can enable microphone separately to create a system+mic mix.

What format is exported?

WebM (VP9) by default. MP4 export uses MediaRecorder with H.264 codec where supported.

Is my recording sent to a server?

No. MediaRecorder writes to local Blob. No data is sent to any server.
