Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between SI and IEC storage units?
SI units (KB, MB, GB) use powers of 10 (1 KB = 1000 bytes). IEC units (KiB, MiB, GiB) use powers of 2 (1 KiB = 1024 bytes). Modern systems often mix these conventions.
How does temperature conversion work?
All temperature conversions use standard formulas: C = (F-32)*5/9, K = C + 273.15, Rankine = F + 459.67, Reaumur = C * 4/5.
