Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Collector and Monitor?
Collector captures video from their cameras. Monitor watches the feeds from all Collectors and can record.
What is composite recording?
All video feeds are composited onto a single Canvas at chosen resolution (720p/1080p), then recorded as one video file.
How does audio mixing work?
Each producer's audio is connected to a GainNode. Gains can be individually adjusted before mixing into the final output.
Is video data sent to a server?
PeerJS handles signaling only. Actual video/audio streams are direct P2P via WebRTC.
